Patience is a virtue

So the good news is that even in the short time I have been traveling, I have been writing every day. There have already been some nice little adventures and some interesting insights I have had the chance to experience in the few days I have been on the road. The not good news is that there is something wrong with the network settings on my blog computer so I cannot post any of my adventures to this blog. *sighs*

Why am I writing so wierd? Well, there is no such thing as an apostophe in Portuguese so there is not one on their keyboards.

Also, I have come to find out that I need a power converter in order to plug in and charge anything that I packed that runs on electricity... so I am trying to conserve my computer batteries so I can keep writing until I get back to Rio and can find a converter.

The lesson learned here is that traveling in a foreign country where you know none of the language takes patience. I am grateful that most people I have encountered are patient with my terrible, halting Portuguese. And it looks as though the last several years of practicing patience with myself is paying off quite nicely. There is nothing like a few, well-timed deep breaths to calm the impatient mind!

Stay tuned :-)

Stay tuned, all. Adentures are happening and being put to words. Now, on to solving my technical issues! Keep your fingers crossed for me.
